PROFESSIONAL BIO
Keely is the Executive Director of MOZAIK Philanthropy, a national foundation committed to democratizing philanthropy. Under her stewardship, the foundation has funded over 500 grassroots organizations and artists through $12M in philanthropic support over the past decade, grantmaking at the intersection of arts, education, media, gender justice and environmental movements. Over the years, Keely has also led the foundation through two strategic refocusings, a rebranding and relocation, while managing day-to-day programs, operations and communications. In addition, she has worked to align the foundation’s assets with its mission through the development of an ESG-D investment policy, prioritizing fiduciary responsibility on issues of climate change, gender inequality, and structural racism.
Keely is also the Founder and CEO of 360 MEDIA Consulting; a referral-only, full-circle digital marketing agency for storytellers, changemakers, & brands working on the frontlines of social impact and innovation. Her high-performance multimedia campaigns have attracted influential clients such as The Sundance Institute, The Redford Center, Human Rights Watch, KPJR Films, and over 50 award-winning indie films.
In the legal advocacy space, Keely actively represents the rights of victims through international delegations to the United Nations (UN), including legal strategy, media strategy & speech writing for the American Indian Movement (AIM-West). Her Oxford University legal dissertation on the forced sterilization of Native American women established U.S. government culpability for Crimes Against Humanity under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and led to the first-ever global study on the forced sterilization of Indigenous women (Resolution 50/51).
Previously, Keely served as an Associate of Development and Global Initiatives at Human Rights Watch (HRW), documenting and exposing human rights abuses in over 90 countries around the world. She now serves as a member of HRW's Los Angeles Film Committee. Keely is a 2019 graduate of the Rockwood Leadership Institute and lectures frequently across the United States on topics of democratizing philanthropy, human rights and social impact cinema. She sits on the board of the Cinema Without Borders Foundation and also serves as an annual jury member for the Social Impact Media Awards produced by SIMA Studios. In 2022, she joined the Forbes Nonprofit Council.
As a world traveler, Keely has personally witnessed the great disparity in the human condition across the globe, leading to crisis after crisis. Whether endangered by environmental, political, or socio-economic reasons, individuals and groups are left at the mercy of the changing tides of wars, rebellions, greed, political inaction and power struggles for resources. Keely’s personal and professional mission is to put her heart in the center of service and to leave a world worthy of future generations.
